Heritage Open Days Marsh Mill

Due to the unprecedented challenges that 2020 has presented, Heritage Open Days in Wyre will be a little bit different this year. Some events will be virtual, some buildings will be open but with limited capacity due to social distancing requirements and new welfare guidance in place and some walks may take place.

Heritage Open Days is still England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,500 events and 46,000 volunteers. Usually every year in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE. Although this year things are a little different you are still encouraged to discover the history and heritage on your doorstep, albeit, perhaps at a distance

Wyre's Heritage Open Days 2020 will be from Friday 11 to Sunday 20 September 2020 and we are pleased to support Fleetwood's Heritage Open Days which will be held during the same period.

Although Marsh Mill will be closed you can enjoy the Marsh Mill Windmill Virtual Tour - https://www.facebook.com/109443823084892/posts/580100322685904/

Marine Hall Theatre -  open from Friday 11 September to Sunday 20 September.

Opening hours will be 10am until 4pm. Last entry at 3.30pm.  Visitors will need to give their details to our Box Office and will be offered socially distanced viewings of the main Ballroom and Dome. A limited numbers of visitors will be allowed into the venue at any one time and masks must be worn whilst inside the Theatre.

Further details of building that will be taking part in the Heritage Open Days will be added to this list in due course
