The Garrick presents 'Teechers'.
The Garrick brings John Godber`s classroom comedy to The ACE Centre stage.
Designed to be played by a small cast playing several parts, the play is set in a typical high school and is centred around three pupils - Gail, Salty and Hobby - who find release from the pressures of school and learning in their drama classes.
This is a play within a play where the students perform an account of their time in secondary school, especially their time with the new drama teacher who ignites their passion for the stage with his idealism and belief that all children should be treated equally.
Teechers will make you laugh, but also make you think - and may even evoke memories of your own time at school.
