Blackpool Zoo has plenty of ghoulish goings-on to add to families’ potion of days out during the Halloween Half-term.
Back by popular demand, the zoo is inviting intrepid investigators to its super Spookfest this October. Once again, they will be challenging visitors to unravel the mystery of the missing pilot as one of the darkest areas of the zoo is eerily transformed, dating back to when the zoo was the site of the former Stanley Park Aerodrome.
The fictional tale tells of how an aircraft set off on its maiden voyage but the plane never made it to its final destination and the pilot was never seen again. Throughout the event, you will uncover clues and slowly unravel the pilot’s fate. Can you solve the mystery?
You can also send your tiny terror on a pumpkin hunt, recreating a magical trail that takes little ones on a poem-led walk to find mini pumpkin patches, each with a letter spelling out the location of the final one.
The mystery Pilot Trail will run from 16 October until 31 October with the Pumpkin Hunt Trail running from 23 October right through to Halloween.
