RV JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL | The Swing City Big Band - James Bond Themes

The songs from the Bond Movies. This will be an amazing festival finale!

Swing City Big Band will perform their Bond Movies concert, presenting songs and music from some of the 27 Bond movies in a 2 hour show at St Mary's Centre on Church Street, Clitheroe.

They are a hugely popular and entertaining big band based in Lothersdale near Skipton. Band director, Stuart Dickinson, will lead the concert. The band consists of 20 musicians and 4 vocalists. Expect to hear tunes from Goldfinger, Skyfall and many, many more favourites.

Band followers will have heard them play many classic big band numbers including tunes by Glen Miller, along with other familiar tunes from the 1940s era. The band also plays many more contemporary tunes from the 50s and 60s, often playing a number of Rat Pack pieces, including classic Sinatra and modern arrangements from Michael Bublé and Robbie Williams.

There have been 27 Bond movies over 60 years featuring 7 different Bond actors. Not all movies had hit songs. Which were the most memorable for you? Which will feature in the Swing City Concert? Whatever the choice they are bound to get your feet a-tapping!

Here's our favourites:
Goldfinger - Shirley Bassey - 1963
Diamonds are Forever - Shirley Bassey - 1971
Live and Let Die - Paul McCartney & Wings - 1974
GoldenEye - Tina Turner - 1995
Skyfall - Adele - 2012

Festival Finale gigs have often been sell-outs, so buying tickets well in advance makes sense. Don't miss this event!

Why not get a Festival Freedom Pass and see it all!
