Join Lancashire historian Steve Williams for a fun packed and entertaining illustrated talk which travels the route to the Yorkshire Dales from Whalley and Clitheroe to Hellifield, then north up to the Settle and Carlisle line until it leaves the Dales and enters Cumbria at Ais Gill. Discover more about the history of the line, major structures such as the Ribblehead Viaduct and the towns, villages and places along the way including the Clitheroe Castle Cement works and Calderstones WW1 hospital
After the talk there will also be chance to visit our free exhibition "On Track – A Glimpse into Lancashire's Railways Past and Present."
