Preston Bank Holiday Weekender

The ‘Preston Weekender’ is set to hit the city’s Flag Market, for a huge outdoor party on Saturday 4th AND Sunday 5th May 2024.

On Saturday night the flag market will host the ‘Ministry of Sound Takeover’ show.  For over 25 years Ministry of Sound has been an icon for night-life lovers everywhere, resulting in a music and event experiences of the highest calibre.

Ministry of Sound is among the world’s largest music brands, with album sales in excess of 70 million, including 40 UK No.1’s. The event will feature big sets from Hacienda hero Graeme Park, and production pioneers, Freemasons. 

Plus, performances from the legendary Julie McKnight, JX, Livin’ Joy, 2 Funky 2, Freemasons, Amanda Wilson, K-Klass.  They’ll be joined on stage by Dax on Sax, and dancers, performing some of the biggest-selling anthems of the nineties and noughties.

‘Sunday on the Square’ will be headlined by From the Jam, alongside Buzzcocks and Space, plus, a host of brilliant regional bands for an afternoon and evening of awesome live music!

The ‘Weekender’ is being staged by the city’s Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with Preston City Council.
