Work alongside textile artist Vanessa Rolf to explore mark making with stitch inspired by maps, journeys and place.
Through demonstrations and examples, you will be introduced to techniques that give old cloth new use and meaning. You will be encouraged to explore your own approaches to representing a place you have lived, travelled through or imagined.
Each participant will develop a simple stitch map. The focus will be on using time stitching as an opportunity to reflect on significant places you can recall from memory and the conversation generated within the group rather than generating accurate detail maps.
