Nigel Ogden of BBC Radio 2 fame will be showcasing the new Empress Ballroom Wurlitzer organ in concert. Nigel has been playing theatre organ since he was 12 years old after many family holidays to Blackpool where he heard the legendary Reginald Dixon at the Tower Ballroom Wurlitzer, an instrument which Nigel has recorded many times.
Since those heady days, Nigel has gone on to record and perform on classical and theatre organs across the globe.
This will be the first Theatre organ concert in the Empress Ballroom in 50 years, and the first concert to be presented on the new Empress Ballroom Wurlitzer.
