This is a one-off session which will introduce some of the history of Lancashire at the time of the Industrial Revolution. The focus for this session will be the history of the development of the Coal industry, the railways and the canal system in Lancashire and the time of the Industrial Revolution. We will be using timelines, maps, pictures and personal accounts and sources to investigate the stories of the time. Learners are encouraged to bring their own personal histories, research and knowledge of the period and the topic to share and discuss with the group.
