Join us for one of the most famous and unforgettable operas of all time.
Acting as the perfect introduction to opera, La Boheme follows a group of struggling friends, as they encounter the many highs and lows life that has to offer. A tale of friendship, warmth, love and heartbreak, this opera certainly packs a punch. This event will take place in Astley Park’s Walled Garden, with an extended interval during which you are invited to bring along a picnic to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings on the lawn.
Outreach Opera are a Lancashire based company with a mission to make opera accessible to communities, inspring a passion for opera, theatre, music, and art for all generations.

Tickets are now available online via Skiddle or you can purchase physical tickets from the Astley Hall Museum Shop, just ask at the counter.

FAQs
Is there seating provided? There won’t be seating provided by the venue for this event so be sure to bring your own foldable chairs and picnic blankets.
Will it be cancelled if the weather is bad? Our staff and the company are dedicated to presenting the performance no matter what the weather. So it is advised to come prepared (umbrellas, waterproofs and blankets and anything else you think may make your experience more comfortable – this does NOT include gazebos or anything similar). Of course we are hoping that the weather is on our side, but we can never be sure can we.
Will there be refreshments available? Cafe Ambio will be open during the first half of the performance and the interval and Barrica will have a prosecco bar and ice-cream cart available throughout. You are also more than welcome come along with your own picnic set up to enjoy during the performance.
