History Beneath Our Feet – Meet the Archaeologists

Join us for an fantastic day and celebrate the Festival of Archaeology 2023. Meet local archaeologists who will be on hand for the day to answer your questions and share their knowledge. The Portable Antiquities Finds Liaison Officers will be with us too!

While you're there, check out the 'Corner of Curiosity' – a fun zone where kids can play ancient games, dress-up in historical costumes, and do archaeology-themed activities.

There's lots of family-friendly fun all weekend. Book your young archaeologists onto one of our brand-new kid's activities, hunt for archaeological objects in the museum, or find out more about the History Beneath Our Feet in Lancashire and join our bookable Archaeology Tour around the Castle.
