History Beneath Our feet – Clitheroe Castle Archaeology Tour

Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology 2025 and book onto our special archaeology tour around the castle. Using artefacts found around Clitheroe and our research into the archaeological work done on Castle hill, we will take you back in time to the history beneath your feet.

PLUS Find out what new insight we have about life at Clitheroe Castle since new archaeological work has been done at the keep.

Our free tour starts at 2:30pm and will take about 45 minutes with time for questions after. Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Please book online to reserve your place.

Alternatively, phone, email or call in at the museum shop to find out more. While you're here, find out about more events and workshops coming up in this year's Festival of Archaeology.
