History Beneath Our Feet – Become a Junior Archaeologist

Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology 2023 and book your young archaeologists (age 8+) onto one of our kid's activities.

Join us at Clitheroe Castle Museum for a fantastic day.

Unearth and rebuild artefacts in our Dig Pit activity or get messy with some clay and make a medieval tile in our Pottery Workshop (£1 donation to take home the tile).

Each young archaeologist will receive their very own certificate to take away, too.

Dig Pits sessions will run at 11.30am and 3pm
Pottery Workshop will run at 1pm
(Sessions last around 45 minutes)

While you're there, check out the 'Corner of Curiosity' – a fun zone where kids can play ancient games, dress-up in historical costumes, and do archaeology-themed activities.
