Heritage open days at Marsh Mill Windmill

We will be celebrating Heritage Open Days this year at Marsh Mill Windmill, Thornton (Grade II*) on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September 2023 from 11am to 3pm (last tour at 2:15pm)

During this FREE event there will be tours delivered by our dedicated volunteers who will share the fascinating history of the Mill, visitors can see the view and historic machinery.

The Mill is 70ft high so children under 5 years of age will be unable to go up the Mill for safety reasons.

To accompany your tour that will be a  range of exhibitions on the ground floor showcasing 125 years of Thornton Cleveleys Gala and the history of the Mill. The sails will be turning during the weekend (weather permitting)
