Clitheroe Castle Museum Junior Archaeologists: Neolithic Pottery Workshop

Celebrate the Festival of Archaeology 2024 and book your young experimental archaeologists (age years +) onto one of the kid's activities.

Discover the prehistoric past through pottery.  Get messy with some clay and learn about the invention of pottery from thumb pots to coil pots.  Look at designs and replicate using sticks, stamps and fingernails.  Each young archaeologist will take their coil pot home and receive their very own certificate to take away, too.

The session will run at 14:00 and last around 45 minutes.
Pottery sessions are £2.50 per child.
Doors open for registration at 13.45 and the session will start at 14:00 prompt.
All children must be accompanied by an adult (accompanying adult does not need a ticket).
