Claughton on Brock Parish Council and volunteers are organising a bonfire beacon lighting and firework display to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Commencing with a bugler and piper at 9pm and the beacon lighting at 9.45pm at Peacock Hill, above Cobble Farm, the event is kindly hosted by Mr and Mrs Miller at Cobble Hey. The cafe will be open earlier in the evening with drinks and food available for purchase. The fireworks display will be spectacular and follow the beacon lighting at approx. 10pm, lasting approximately 8 minutes.
Tickets for car parking within the grounds of Cobble Hey farm will be advertised to Parish residents to claim on a first come first served basis. More information will be added to the Parish Council website and Facebook page nearer the time.
There will be no charge for the event but a donations will be greatly appreciated and the proceeds passed to a local medical charity.
Please note, you may need to purchase a car parking ticket if you intend to bring a car - places will be limited.
