Civil War Lancashire 1600-1660 with Lancashire Adult Learning at Clitheroe Castle

This one off session with Lancashire Adult Learning will explore the history of the British Civil War through the lens of Lancashire and her people.

Explore maps, timelines, primary and secondary sources and discover the reasons for the outbreak of the civil war, the defeat of the King, the growth of radical working class groups and the long years of the Inter-regnum when Oliver Cromwell ruled. 

No prior knowledge is required just an interest in the past and its people and places.  This event is free to all adults 19 years plus.  

Clitheroe Castle Museum is managed by Lancashire County Council's Museum Service on behalf of Ribble Valley Borough Council.
