Come along and enjoy this experimental course where you will learn the various steps to making your own bas-relief flower & nature plaster cast relief plaques.
A lovely and creative way to start the Easter Weekend with friends or family members.
The course will cover rolling out the clay, designing and arranging the flowers, and creating your own layout for the casting process.
The fresh flowers and foliage are then pressed into the wet clay before plaster is poured in and given time to set. When the mould is removed, every detail is captured. After carefully hand finishing, they can be painted or left natural.
You'll create 2 plaques, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Plaques are approx. 7.5x5.5inches. You'll have the option to add hanging hooks or leave blank, creating beautiful botanical pieces of art for your home.
There will be flowers and foliage for you to choose from, however, I do ask you bring a very small bunch of fresh flowers/herbs/leaves/wildflowers/grasses from your garden as it is always lovely to make a cast specific to your garden.
Please bring an apron and wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy. If you wear glasses please remember these.
