The United Kingdom’s long tradition of celebrating Royal Jubilees, Weddings and Coronations with the lighting of beacons will be continued to mark the Platinum Jubilee.
Over 1,500 beacons will be lit throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories. The Principal beacon will be lit in a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
We will mark this occasion in Wyre with a beacon lighting at The Mount in Fleetwood. Join us from 9pm for live entertainment, speeches and the official lighting at 9.45pm as the sun goes down.
