The Hamlet at Samlesbury Hall
Type:Alternative Accommodation

Tucked within the historic grounds of Samlesbury Hall lies a hidden gem, the charming Shepherd’s Hut Hamlet, a colourful collection of handcrafted huts offering a unique and whimsical alternative to the traditional hotel stay.
Combining countryside charm with luxurious comfort, each beautifully crafted shepherd’s hut is designed for year-round stays, warm and cosy in winter, refreshingly cool in summer. Inside, you'll find two double beds carved from European oak, complete with plush memory foam mattresses. Each hut also features soft lighting, low-wattage electricity to keep your essentials charged, and a private en-suite bathroom with a spacious hot shower, fluffy towels, and luxury toiletries.
Step outside and embrace the simple pleasures of outdoor living. Pull up a chair by the fire pit, dine alfresco at one of the picnic benches, or take a peaceful stroll through the grounds of the picturesque Samlesbury Hall.
Some of the Shepherd’s Huts are especially reserved for families with four legged friends. Well behaved dogs always welcome. There’s plenty for families too, from the woodland adventure trail and Mayflower playground to a mini-golf course and driving range, just steps from the hamlet. When the Hall is open, admission is free. Don't miss the incredible home bakes in Maria’s Tea Room or a delicious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea in the award-winning Garden Room Eatery, which proudly serves locally sourced ingredients.
For those seeking the ultimate escape, venture into the ancient woodland to discover the brand-new Southworth Spa at Samlesbury Hall, an exclusive retreat where rustic tranquillity meets indulgent luxury. Relax in your private wood-fired hot tub, take a refreshing plunge under the outdoor shower, and warm up in the sauna pod. Surrounded by nature, this serene glamping experience invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the natural world.
