Among the protected wildlife at the nature reserve are owls, marsh harrier birds and deer, all of which have been spotted from the John Wilson Hide.

Fell End offers a fantastic  indoor leisure facility including heated pool, as well as an on site bar/restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor play areas are accessible for children at this family friendly park.
