Dale House Bed and Breakfast

Unique accommodation in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Dale House offers a luxury bed and breakfast or a rustic self catering barn stay in a beautiful and remote location.  Situated on the edge of Gisburn Forest and near to Stocks Reservoir, there is plenty to do from walking; bird watching; fishing; on or off road biking; climbing; caving; stargazing or just plain and simple relaxing.

2016 saw the area and the farm house awarded a dark skies accreditation for being a perfect location for celestial sight seeing.

Dale House has two beautiful comfortable double en-suite rooms and one single room in the main farmhouse. The beds have great mattresses and either linen or egyptian cotton sheets and rooms have a t.v, wifi, hair dryers and a complimentary tea and coffee tray with a selection of teas and real coffee, fresh milk and biscuits.

Included is a delicious breakfast from locally sourced ingredients with homemade bread and preserves. Delicious evening meals and hearty packed lunches are also available by prior arrangement.  Evening meals are available on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Dominique, the owner, is a chef with a Michelin restaurant background and specialises in food that is hunted, grown and foraged personally.  Vegetarians and vegans are welcome.

Purpose built kennels are available for any dogs of guests staying in the bed & breakfast.

There is also a rustic self catering camping barn available that can accommodate up to 12 people.

Cooking retreats at Dale House take place in the beautiful farmhouse, situated in the Forest of Bowland AONB and the Yorkshire dales. The Women’s MTB weekends, hosted by the fabulous Liz Peacock of MTB trail skills, use the trails in Gisburn forest and also the natural terrain of the Yorkshire dales.
