Brickhouse Farm Cottages - a group of twelve outstanding cottages, set on Brickhouse Farm amongst six acres of lovely grounds and two large lakes, nestled in the hamlet of Hambleton yet only five miles from the market town of Poulton-le-Fylde. These delightful self-catering holiday cottages have been individually designed with modern living in mind and specialising in holidays for those with disabilities and with great consideration for wheelchair users. All of the cottages now have a ceiling track hoist. 

Oak, Birch, Willow, Pine and Poplar Cottage all have quality furniture throughout, open plan living areas with underfloor heating, bespoke kitchens with granite worktops, lovely oak dining tables, corner settees and modern 40 inch TVs. Furthermore, to accommodate a wider range of abilities there is level access throughout the groundfloor, wide doorways and each cottage has a bedroom with appropriately positioned switches/sockets and an electric bed. This bedroom leads to a beautiful contemporary wet-room with grab rails.

There are many disability aids such as a shower chair, perch chair and bed rails available and some cottages also have ceiling track hoists. In addition, Poplar and Oak Cottages have a luxurious hot tub under the stars with a hoist available to ease access.

All of these cottages offer en-suite facilities to every bedroom, some with charming mosaics and all with contemporary fittings. Each purpose built cottage has its own private patio, all with lake views. They are situated on the edge of a private lake, which is only available to the clientele who are occupying the holiday cottages to fish or just simply admire the wildlife and surrounding area. There is a jetty and communal BBQ area.

Further accessible cottages were opened in 2016 and 2017with balconies over the fully stocked fishing lake, each with accessible hot tub. The bedrooms feature profile beds and ceiling track hoists from bedroom into the spacious wet room. Chestnut cottage features a bespoke designed rise and fall kitchen with induction hob, accessible oven and all modern appliances. These three cottages have been designed with the highest quality of furnishings and their lakeside aspect provides for a peaceful and relaxing stay at Brickhouse Farm.

Nearby Blackpool offers the dazzling Illuminations, the Tower and the exhilarating Blackpool Pleasure Beach. You can also be entertained by shows at the Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre and Piers. These superb Lancashire coast cottages are well situated for visiting the famous coastline or travelling a little further and discovering the magnificent Lake District …. perfect for family and friends to get together in quality surroundings.

Directions

Road Directions

From the M6 take the M55 towards Blackpool. Turn off signposted Fleetwood and follow the A585, and on to Hambleton. Drive through Hambleton and after a half mile you will see open fields on your left and then as the road bears left, a white house on the corner. Take your immediate left into Brickhouse Lane and continue for a quarter mile until there is a ‘T’ sigh on left. Turn left here, keep to your left hand fork and you will see the cottages in front of you.
