If you fancy a challenge why not try a long distance walk through Lancashire and stay over night. alternatively dip in and just walk as much or as little as you want. All the routes below are available to download.


Walking in LancashirePendle Way
45 miles in 8 parts

The Pendle Way, Lancashire, is a 45-mile circular route which ranges from limestone meadows to rugged millstone grit moorland. Discover weaving hamlets and places associated with the Bronte’s and the Pendle Witches and climb up the mysterious Pendle Hill (557M), which dominates the landscape.


Lune ValleyLune Valley Ramble
16.5 miles

The Lune Valley Ramble traces the course of the River Lune's lower reaches through some of the North West's finest lowland countryside. Bounded by high moors, limestone hills and shadowed by the distant peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Leck Fell, the route offers excellent, easy walking and is signposted and waymarked throughout.



Walking in LancashireThe West Craven Way Part 1
24 miles in 2 parts

Explore the area to the south and east of Barnoldswick in the first 12 mile circular walk. Starting in the foothills of Weets Hill the walk takes in the undulating countryside crossing through farmland and moors. The second 12 Mile circular route takes in the area to the north and west of Barnoldswick.


Cliviger GorgeThe Burnley Way
40 miles in 6 parts

A 40 mile adventure from industrial heritage, along waterways, through fields, parks, old farms and Forest of Burnley woodlands to the wild South Pennine Moors.
