Fairhaven Lake

Fairhaven Lake is one of the borough's most popular attractions. Nestled between Lytham and St Anne's, a salt water lake, positioned directly on the coast next to Granny's Bay and Stanner Bank. It measures 1200m by 400m and is 1.2m at its deepest.

Enjoy the many recreational facilities provided, motorboat, canoe and rowing boat hire. For the less adventurous there is an electrically powered motor launch, enjoy the cruise and enjoy the scenery from the launch on a 10-15 min cruise.

Annual contracts can be obtained for the use of personal craft and are available at the booking office.

Other lakeside facilities include a café and the RSPB Discovery Centre. The lake is one of the most important wildfowl locations in Europe, with a group of more than 250 Canada Geese, several Swans (including a solitary Black one) and many coots, water hens and other smaller fowl.

For the more active in the party, enjoy crown or flat green bowling, tennis courts, basketball court and the recently opened Skate Park.

Off road car parking is available at both ends of the Lake. Facilities are open throughout the Easter holidays and Spring Bank Week then weekends only until the Summer Holidays. Opening times are from 10am to 7pm (except for the Skate Park which is open 10am until 8.30 pm) daily however, they may vary dependant on weather conditions. 01253 735440 to verify opening times.
