Lancashire's Popular Food Festivals

25th January - 3rd February 2010
2010 is the 10th anniversary of the legendary annual Obsession – a gastronomic extravaganza and to mark the occasion this year the event is extended to 10 nights. Once again some of the UK’s greatest chefs, and some from overseas, will each cook a special ‘one night only’ menu.

10th - 11th April 2010
Prepare your tastebuds for a culinary extravaganza as the 13th Lancashire Food Festival, takes place at Accrington Town Hall on the 10th and 11th April. Lancashire has a huge selection of traditional food favourites ranging from black pudding to the famous Lancashire hot-pot, but you'll find lots more than these local delights at the Food Festival.

19th August - 19th September 2010
Thousands of food lovers can experience gastronomic adventures across the county as the area celebrates its fantastic food and culture like never before. From gourmet short breaks, culinary canal cruises and pony trekking picnics to steam train lunches, champagne balloon flights and brewery tours and of course, the famous World Gravy Wrestling Championships.

2nd - 7th September 2010
Six days of Irish craic, live music, singing and dancing in the Festival Marquee at Guy's Thatched Hamlet, Bilsborrow.
The festival is full of fun and laughter not forgetting the great food and drink that is on offer. The festival is not one to be missed and will leave you with lots of great fun memories.

October 2010
A week long food and drink extravaganza Some of the events include cheese making demonstrations from local producers, farm tours and taster sessions. The Garstang Food Festival offers you the very best, and there is something for everyone.
