The Junior Dance Competition – Running since 1957, the annual Blackpool Junior Dance festival returns to celebrate the talent in the junior dance ranks for 2024. Historically, over 30 countries have been represented over Latin-American, Ballroom & Sequence categories. With the dancers ranging from 6-16, this competition really showcases the wonderful talent the world has to offer in U16’s dance; so it’s time to bust out those sequins and join in with the dazzle and shine of Blackpool’s Winter Gardens this April.

03 April

Dr John Cooper Clarke – Celebrating 50 years in show business, The People’s Poet rose to prominence during the 1970s with famous rhymes such as Beasley Street and Chickentown. Put to music by famous producer, Martin Hannett Dr. John Cooper Clarke became a seminal voice in the UK’s Punk scene.

05 April

The Glam Rock Show – It is time to dust off those platforms and get that make-up out! The national touring sensation that is the Glam Rock Show will transport you back to the guitar solos and punk glamour of the 1970s. If you loved David Bowie, Bay City Rollers, T-Rex and Suzie Quatro then this is the show for you, featuring the music of these all-time greats and many more. So Ziggy that stardust and be children of the revolution once again!

06 April

Paloma Faith – Returning to the stage, bigger, better and stronger than ever, for one night only the Picking Up the Pieces singer will wow the crowds at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens with new music and old favourites, including her newest hit, How You Leave a Man. 

07 April

Cirque The Greatest Show – A night of sublime, where musical meets circus. Featuring the biggest musical hits of the West End and Broadway, with spectacular aerial acts and contortion, this show really is an outstanding performance of varied talents that promises to wow, thrill and entertain any audience.

12 April

Country Roads – Are you a country music fan, well steel yourself as Blackpool’s Winter Gardens transforms into Nashville this April. Following their recent lauded performance, the stars of Islands in the Stream will celebrate the very best of country music old and new, featuring the music of Dolly Parton, Jonny Cash and Patsy Cline to name a few. Those boots were made for walking, so come on down!

12 April

Spring into Spring – Welcome to Blackpool’s free community health & wellbeing event. Come and find out about all the exciting events and services throughout Blackpool this year, just turn up!

13 April

Legend: The Music of Bob Marley – A celebration of the life and music of reggae icon Bob Marley. Featuring all of the classics including Two Little Birds, One Love & No Woman No Cry this has been widely hailed as one of the best tribute shows around and Lastminutetheatretickets.com said, “Michael Phillips has all the moves, all the swagger and hits all the right notes.” So come along Buffalo Soldier and Stir it Up at the Winter Gardens.

18 April

The Jerseys – A celebration of the original 60s pop group Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. Along with timeless classics like Big Girls Don’t Cry, Sherry & Let’s Hang On, this show features fast-paced comedy, sensational dance routines as well as the fabulous falsetto and amazing acapella of Frankie Valli and his legendary group. Oh What A Night of harmonies it will be!

19 April

The Kaiser Chiefs –The Kaiser Chiefs are coming to Blackpool! Ricky Wilson and co will be rocking the stage at the Winter Gardens performing their new music with some old favourites too on their sell-out UK tour.

20 April

Burrow Strictly Ball – An evening to support the efforts and achievements of The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease and other MND causes. Retired rugby legend Rob Burrow, along with his friends, family and supporters have fundraised and campaigned for MND following his own diagnosis in 2019. Rob played for Leeds Rhinos in the Super League for his whole career, a hero on and off the field, Rob has been a real advocate for those living with MND and the Burrow Strictly Ball promises to be a great evening of dining and entertainment for a worthy cause.

26 April

MJ The Legacy – The show that is taking stages across Europe by storm is coming to Blackpool. A celebration of The King of Pop himself Michael Jackson. Featuring many of his best hits, feted tribute act CJ, embodies the man, the myth, the legend in both his dance repertoire and vocal ability. Book now for a Thriller night!

27 April

Blackpool’s Mayoral Ball – It’s that time of year again where Blackpool’s Mayor will host an evening of dining, dancing and revelry to raise funds for her chosen charities of 2024, Counselling in the Community & The Blackpool Foodbank. This year’s theme is Gothic Burlesque, and the evening promises to be a vaudeville night of entertainment for two great local causes.
