HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) will be invaded by four legged beasts of a prehistoric variety this Easter half term.

From Friday the 29th of March until Sunday 14th April this year the Charity will be taken over by dinosaur fever with planned activities and events at Shores Hey Farm in Burnley, Lancashire BB10 3QU.

On Friday 5th April highly trained rangers and dinosaurs are coming to the Farm! Visitors will get to meet and learn all about Trevor the T-Rex and his friends Topsy, Vinnie, Mango, Tango, Pip in a special 45-minute show. The rangers will tell you all about their likes and dislikes, how they live and give you plenty of photo opportunities and the chance to meet a real-life dinosaur– if you’re brave enough!  Be sure to arrive early to enjoy dino crafts, glitter tattoos, dinosaur trail and face painting, don’t forget to say ‘hello’ to the resident horses, ponies, and donkey.

Dinosaur fanatic, HAPPA’s Megan Dunham says “I have been reliably informed that dinosaurs are NOT extinct! I just hope we have enough food in The Café to feed them, no-one wants to deal with a hungry dinosaur, do they? I am looking forward to welcoming all those who are just as fanatical about dinosaurs as I am for a great time and a fabulous show. HAPPA are working alongside Burnley Leisure & Culture, a fantastic local charity, and their highly skilled dinosaur trainers to prove that dinosaurs are not extinct.”

But that’s not all throughout the Easter half term young explorers will be able to take part in a Dinosaur Trail around Shores Hey Farm, a fun dinosaur discovery quiz designed for all ages, with a prize for completion. There’s also a chance to morph into a prehistoric creature with planned dino related crafts and activities.
