Poulton-le-Fylde will be filled with culture this June as a theatre, music, and dance festival comes to the town.

Spot On Festival is a jam-packed weekend of live performances across Poulton Town Centre from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June.

Members of the public can buy tickets to see theatre, music, dance and shows for families across the weekend, hosted by Poulton Community Hall, the medieval Parish Church and the welcoming Library.

Between shows, Spot On Festival will showcase local talent with community groups singing, dancing and performing on the marketplace Festival Stage, which on the Saturday will be compered by Coastal Radio’s Scott Gallagher.

Around and about, audiences of all ages will encounter street performers, shop at stalls provided by some of the best artisan makers in the North West and enjoy refreshments from a host of cafes, bars and delicious food sellers in town.

The programme, which includes artists from all over the UK and across the globe (Norway, China, and Canada), will attract new visitors to Poulton-le-Fylde from miles around. It will also encourage both locals and visitors to enjoy spending time in the town and create great memories for themselves, their family, and their friends.

“This is a key moment for Spot On Lancashire as we present the first-ever Spot On Festival. We’re so pleased to be working with the people in Poulton-le-Flyde to make this happen. The programme has something for everyone, from feel good family shows to big band music so whatever your tastes, you’ll find something to take your interest.” (Robert Howell, Director, Culturapedia: Spot On Festival).

Spot On, run by Culturapedia, is Lancashire’s rural and library-touring theatre network. It hosts high-quality professional arts events in local venues. With over 40 volunteer community promoters, Spot On wants to give everyone the chance of a good night out on their doorstep. They promote about 50 shows a year, but this is the first time they’ve held a festival of this scale over a weekend.

An essential part of the festival will be food and drink. Culturapedia is calling out for traders, bar, cafe and restaurant owners to come forward with ideas about how to incorporate their offer into the festival planning.

Robert Howell says: “This festival is for you. We will promote the events widely and attract audiences from Poulton, Lancashire and beyond. We want Poulton Town Centre to thrive and would love you to participate. You might want to offer a special deal over the weekend to entice the crowds into your cafe/shop/bar. Be creative - you could programme your own musician or band over the weekend, and we’ll add this to the programme. We’d love to hear your ideas about how this could best work for you.”

Traders taking part, either with special offers or extra entertainment programming, will be offered reciprocal marketing on social media platforms. Anyone interested can talk to the team at the Community Hall or contact Lyndsey, Rob or Lewis at Culturapedia on 01254 674777 or email hello@spotonlancashire.co.uk.

Poulton-le-Fylde Community Hall, Culturapedia and Wyre Council are hosting the Spot On Festival: Poulton-le-Fylde with support from Wyre Council and Arts Council England. Visit the Spot On Lancashire Festival website for the full programme at www.spotonlancashire.co.uk.

June, I think, will be a great time for such a festival. I would love to see the works of artists from Canada, as it is my homeland. Our family often visits such festivals whenever possible because it's the best way to spend weekends in a pleasant atmosphere. I would also like to participate in some games, as I am very fond of gambling and mostly play online at casinos in Quebec, which can be found by visiting the service https://onlinecasinoquebec.com with full information about them. It's also a great way to relax and unwind without leaving home. So if you're also interested in this topic, be sure to check it out, as this service has provided a review of each online platform to help you choose.
