The collection on display at the museum together with that at sister museum Queen Street Mill Textile Museum has been designated as being of national importance.

Feel the grand and mighty waterwheel powering the stocks as they thump the wet woollen cloth.

Our shop offers traditional and contemporary gifts for all ages, focusing on Lancashire made crafts and products. Let us reveal local delicacies such as Reedy’s hand made jam and the hand crafted Simply Textiles range of textiles. Simply Textiles designs are exclusive to Lancashire Museums; made from yarn spun at Helmshore, and expertly woven at our sister museum Queen Street Mill Museum, at Burnley.

By Car: Jct 5 from the M65, at the roundabout take the A6177 to Haslingden. Continue for 10 mins take the right turn [at the Holden Arms Public House] follow the hill down for 0.75 mile, the museum is on the left just before Musbury Fabrics. Free Car Parking.
By Bus: Service 11/12 Rawtenstall-Haslingden-Helmshore circular every 60 mins from Rawtenstall bus station. Buses serve Rawtenstall and Haslingden from the surrounding main towns.
