The Highwayman reopened its doors in April 2007, heralding a new era in the colourful history of this infamous watering hole. Now a Ribble Valley Inn it brings a new dimension in enjoyment and relaxation to this picturesque corner of Lancashire, just a stone’s throw from the borders with Yorkshire and Cumbria
Nigel Haworth, along with his Head Chef Michael Ward develop The Highwayman menu to fully embrace the flavours of regional cookery and British Classics in-line with the seasons.
Ribble Valley Inns is delighted to partner local brewer Daniel Thwaites at The Highwayman and have the opportunity to feature their impressive line up of Thwaites ales, along with creating a wine list that would grace many of England’s finest establishments…but without the price tag to match.
Our Children’s Menu is simply a smaller version of the main menu featuring healthy, seasonal local produce...bursting with so much flavour they’ll wonder what they ever saw in ‘chicken nuggets’
The Highwayman was named 'County Dining Pub of The Year 2011' in the Good Pub Guide 2011.
