The oldest half marathon in the UK. 2012 sees the 48th staging of this event. Early entry is essential as the race will be oversubscribed. A great family atmosphere makes this one of the best races in the UK. The race has been placed in the Runners World top 50 races for each of the last 4 years. A rural course over a gently undulating route.
Freckleton Half-marathon takes place on Sunday 17th June. Start time 2pm.
13.1 mile road race with approx 500 competitors. 2 mile fun run with approx 150/200 entrants.
Minimum age: 17 years on race day, no age limit for fun run, time limit 2 hours 40 minutes.
No entries on the day. Race entry fee £17 & £15.
The oldest half marathon in the UK takes place over a rural course through Freckleton, Wrea Green and Warton. Family fun run, entertainment, bouncy castles.
