Halloween is a great time of year where your mind turns to witches, warlocks and spine chilling tales that scare your socks off! Lancashire always has lots of hair raising Halloween events going on in October to help you celebrate Halloween in style.

Don’t forget Lancashire is famous for the Pendle Witches and their spooky past. Enjoy the 7 mile Walking with Witches Trail and discover the countryside around Pendle. You could also take a sure bet that many of Lancashire’s creepy castles and historic halls are full of ghoulish activities.

      Scare Kingdom Scream Park

      (21 Oct - 5 Nov 2011) This year’s evening fright fest houses two creepy corn maze attractions including the blood-soaked harvest of Voodoo Bayou and the festival of phantoms in Day of the Dead while the new and terrifying indoor scares include HMS Hell, a shipwreck of souls, and Blood Bath II, twisted terror in the meat locker.

Take a trip with the East Lancashire Railway on a spooky steam powered train ride. Past dark stations and through haunted tunnels, a ghostly parade and other scary surprises at the station platform, a trip on the Halloween Ghost train is a spook-tacular experience.
