Beacon Country Park
Tel: 01695 622794
This picturesque country park stages events and activities throughout the year. Facilities include golf course and driving range, visitor centre, cafe and bar, nature trails, bridle path, orienteering course, heritage trail and ranger service.
There is space to walk, run, ride horses or bicycles, fly kites, or just get away from it all and relax at Beacon Country Park - a combination of flowing meadows and woodlands, commanding majestic views across the Lancashire Plain to the West and the Pennine Hills to the East.
Beacon Country Park yet again scooped a prestigious Green Flag award for 2008-2009. The accolade recognises the natural beauty of the park, as well as its welcoming, safe and well maintained environment and for its community involvement. It is a huge success for our ranger service, who make sure that the park is well looked after, and for their innovative approach towards encouraging visitors to use the site.
