Throughout the year Lancashire has many Living Legends events going on. Here is a list of just a few.


Hoghton Tower

1-31 May - Museum and Galleries Month

This dedicated month based around 'Ideas and Innovation' sparks a range of events, exhibitions and workshops across Lancashire's museums.


June - Lunesdale Studio Trail

Visit internationally renowned artist studios in the picturesque Lune Valley.


12-13 July - Ribchester Roman Re-enactments

Regular visitors, the Legio II Augusta will be back with displays of Roman life, talks, military displays and firing of Roman artillery. As always there will be plenty of entertainment and education for all the family.


20 July - Rolls Royce Rally, Lytham

Annual gathering of about 60 Rolls Royce and Bentley cars which age from the 1920s to present


September - Heritage Open Days

The biggest free celebration of England's fantastic architecture, history and culture. With over 30 different openings and special events taking place in Burnley over the four days


October - Day Out with Thomas on the East Lancashire Railway

Ride along the beautiful Irwell Valley from Rawtenstall to Bury to meet Thomas the Tank Engine
