North West Fine Food Lovers Festival - Stonyhurst College, Hurst Green - August 2 and 3 - CANCELLED

North West Fine Foods has gone in to liquidation and as result this year's North West Fine Food Lovers Festival at Stonyhurst College, Hurst Green on August 2 and 3 has been cancelled. North West Fine Foods organises the regional Food Lovers Festivals.

This is disappointing news as the Festival was one of the major events of Taste Lancashire 08 - The Year of Food and Drink co-ordinated by Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board and supported by Made in Lancashire and the Tourist Board's many other partners. The Festival would have generated much welcome income for the exhibitors and for the local visitor economy.

Unfortunately, despite attempts and discussions at short notice, neither Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board, Made in Lancashire nor industry contacts are able to take on the running of the Festival.
