Home / Latest news from Lancashire and Blackpool / Lancashire Trampers on the BBC Politics Show this Sunday 13th April 2008
Lancashire's Tramper buggy has been filmed in and around Scorton by the BBC in relation to access for the disabled and specifically on the use of Trampers.
This included talking to Jonty Collinson, the owner of The Priory Inn at Scorton which offers the facility to hire a Tramper for use at nearby Beacon Fell Country Park.
The Disabled Ramblers recommended Lancashire as an exemplar authority in this area.
The film is being broadcast this Sunday in the regional part of the BBC Politics Show programme at 12.30 pm on BBC1.
The Tramper is a specially designed four wheel drive all-terrain electric buggy which can be used off road and even on rough ground, mud and grass. It enables people who have difficulty walking to experience the countryside, woodlands and lakesides; and to accompany their friends and families when out walking - more information about Lancashire's Trampers.
