Over the first two weekends in March, Rufford Old Hall is offering free entry to all visitors to enjoy its wonderful display of flowers.

The property is usually closed at this time of year but the grounds are at their best, with fantastic shows of snowdrops, daffodils and crocuses. Visitors are welcome on the weekends of the 1st/2nd and 8/9th March. The shop and restaurant will also be open.
The conservation team is also putting on its annual `Rise and Shine` event on March 1st and 8th, when visitors will be allowed a rare look behind the scenes at the work that takes place to get an historic mansion up and running to open to the public. Tickets for `Rise and Shine` are £8, including light refreshments, and are limited to 50 per day. Bookings can be made on 01704 821254.
The property will open fully for the 2008 season on March 15th and will be open all through the Easter Bank holiday, with a range of children's activities on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
