Eco Escapes

Whether you’re planning a weekend break, romantic getaway, or family holiday, you can stay in accommodation and visit attractions, or experience activities that provide the feel good factor. With Lancashire's commitment to sustainability, putting together your Eco Escape has never been easier!

Lancashire is host to some beautiful countryside and scenery including two designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – Arnside and Silverdale and the Forest of Bowland.  The Forest of Bowland was the first protected area in England to be awarded the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. The Charter is awarded to protected areas that are delivering tourism that is both nature and landscape friendly and which contributes to the economic development of the region.
