Discover the Museum of Lancashire for a family friendly day out. Housed in Preston's Old Court House, the museum offers displays, exhibitions and events for everyone.

Step back in time as you enter our Victorian schoolroom and practice your best hand-writing on a slate. Stroll down memory lane in our 1940s street - watch out for the unexploded bomb! Take cover in the Anderson Shelter when you hear the air raid siren; learn about rations and evacuation.

Explore the story of the Duke of Lancaster's Own Yeomanry and 14th/20th Kings Hussars. Experience life as a soldier in the trenches of World War 1.

Regular family events and activities and a changing temporary exhibitions programme.

Open all year round 10.30am-5pm. Closed Thursdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The museum has joined the ranks of the London Eye and Hampton Court Palace after being awarded a Quality Assured Visitor Attraction plaque by the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service (VAQAS) provided by Visit Britain.
