It’s picnic time at two of Lancashire Museums venues this August as both Turton Tower, Bolton and Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham open their doors to teddy bears and their friends.
Take your teddy round and round the traditional English country garden at Turton on Thursday 14 August, 12noon–2pm or 3pm–5pm, and enjoy an afternoon of children’s activities, and a freshly prepared picnic made in the award-winning Tea Room. If you go down to the woods at Gawthorpe Hall on Sunday 24 August, 12.30pm–4.30pm, you can take part in an exciting Teddy Bear trail. Bring your own picnic and enjoy an afternoon of storytelling and Punch and Judy.
