A West Pennine Moors Trail starting at Sunnyhurst Wood Lychgate car park, this circular walk takes in some fantastic views of the surrounding countryside from Darwen Moors.
From windswept moors to hidden valleys, walk in the landscape that inspired the Brontes. Starting in the village of Trawden, the walk passes 17th century farmhouses and the beauty spot of Lumb Spout before taking the old moorland pack horse trail to the village of Wycoller with its Brontë associations.
The four easy walks detailed in this leaflet allowing ample time and opportunity to explore the countryside which links two of England's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty; The Forest of Bowland and Arnside and Silverdale.

A five mile ramble beginning at the Visitor Centre and taking in Longton marsh, the Ribble Way and the old Preston to Southport railway line.
The Lune Valley is an undiscovered gem of England's North Country and represents one of the finest corners of our 'green and pleasant land'.
The Lune Valley Ramble traces the course of the River Lune's lower reaches through some of the North West's finest lowland countryside. Bounded by high moors, limestone hills and shadowed by the distant peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Leck Fell, the route offers excellent, easy walking and is signposted and waymarked throughout.
This three mile ramble takes in Worden Park's Arboretum, Shawbrook stream and fantastic views across the Lancashire plain.
