Fleetwood museum sits on the edge of the River Wyre which flows into Morecambe Bay, the Irish Sea and beyond. Fleetwood’s trawler fleet fished the Arctic seas from Newfoundland to Russia. Discover the harsh life of a fisherman and the conditions they endured. See how cockles and mussels, shrimps and salmon were harvested from the treacherous waters of Morecambe bay. Our high tech gallery allows a 21st century exploration of the fishing history of the area. Our family friendly summer activities provide hours of fun for kids of any age. Wind down in our galley with a refreshing cup of tea and locally baked pastry.
