Lancashire's hostels are great for those on the move. They offer simple accommodation at a budget price and are ideal for group travellers or individuals.
Youth hostels are a comparatively economical and traveller-friendly form of accommodation, existing in both town and rural locations in Lancashire and Blackpool. They provide private and shared rooms for families, couples and groups. Hostels are usually self-catering, although sometimes meals can be provided.
To stay in Youth Hostel Association (Youth Hostel Association) hostels you are required to either be a member of the Youth Hostel Association.

Lancashire Hostels
Star rated accommodation often in shared rooms with bunk beds, family rooms may also be available. Hostels normally welcome individuals, families and groups, many of who are staying on a short-term basis. Hostels often have quite a formalised structure, which may or may not include restricted access, meal service etc.

Backpackers
Very similar in style to a Hostel, but may be run on less formal lines such as 24 hour access. They are often more appropriate for longer-term independent travellers and the younger end of the market and they tend not to take family groups.

Campuses
In general Campus accommodation is on a College or University site, with some aspects of communal living space.
