There is lot’s to do this half term at The Atkinson. From 28 May – 3 June, they have so much on.

CBeebies Sarah and Duck are paying us a visit as well as Mr Toad form Wind in The Willows.

There is loads of interactive fun in our Museum or find out how the Vikings really lived, in our exhibition, Viking: Rediscover the Legend with star objects from the British Museum and Yorkshire museum alongside finds from North West metal detectorists.

The Wind in The Willows
Join them on an exciting adventure along the riverbank with a brand new staging of Kenneth Grahame’s family classic The Wind in The Willows! Meet all your favourite characters including loyal Mole, faithful Ratty and wise old Badger as they do their best to keep the mischievous Mr Toad out of trouble. 

Wind in the Willows is on Tue 29 May 3pm and 6pm.Tickets are £15 / £13 children /£54 family plus booking fee.

Sarah and Duck
Join CBeebies favourites Sarah and Duck and a host of their friends, including The Ribbon Sisters, The Shallots, Flamingo & John and Umbrella, as they plan a birthday party for Scarf Lady in their garden.

This live theatre production is in Fri 1 June 1pm & 3pm Tickets are £9 -£11 depending on zone plus booking fee.

Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition
Find out how the Vikings really lived in Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition.

Featuring gems such  as Lewis Chessmen, (1150- 1200 AD) walrus ivory gaming piece courtesy of  The Trustees of the British Museum, a Viking Brooch and the York Helmet courtesy of York Museums Trust.

Find where you live on the local Viking map and see what has been found nearby by metal detectorist.

The exhibition is open Monday – Saturday 10am – 4pm (last entry at 3pm). Tickets are £5 adult / £3 child / £12 family / £4 for 10+
