Garden Open Days - Barbara Barlow's Cottage Garden

The story of Barbara’s garden starts in the 1970s when she used to help her mother with their garden centre in the back garden. The more she learned about plants the more her interest grew. By the time her children had grown and flown she was hooked.

See the garden in all its glory on selected open days throughout spring and summer.

Private group visits by appointment

Cream teas and home made cakes are available in the sheltered Orchard Tea Garden on the open days June, July and August.

Even if you don’t want to walk around the gardens, you can go into the Orchard Tea Garden to enjoy the refreshments without having to pay an entrance charge.

Bird song, classical music and a beautiful garden setting – what better way to enjoy your afternoon tea?
