Old Holly Farm is an all-weather family attraction designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. Being a family run, working dairy farm, the team at Old Holly are passionate about giving children (and adults alike) the opportunity to see, touch, smell, hear and taste the experience of a real working farm. But most importantly it’s about having fun, eating well and learning through play safely.
The farm is home to a Taste Lancashire accredited Café, farm gift shop, small open farm and indoor softplay. Visitors are also able to watch the farm's dairy cows being milked daily from 16.30.
Entrance is £3.50 per person, which includes entry to the open farm, café and farm shop and also includes a complimentary hot drink or ice cream (ts & cs apply). Under 2s are free.
The playbarn is currently available for exclusive bookings only, for up to 2 households, and the price includes 90 minutes play, a complimentary hot drink for each adult, juice for the children and entrance to the open farm. The playbarn café will also be open for guests to enjoy some home-cooked food or home-made cakes.
The farm is also home to Tootsies Ice Cream Factory, who make their ice cream on site using the milk from the farm's organic dairy herd. This ice cream is available in the farm shop to enjoy now or to take away. The farm gift shop is also home to local produce, treats and toys.
The Taste Lancashire accredited Courtyard Café provides an appetising selection of meals and refreshments throughout the year, with its evolving menu and special boards reflecting the seasons and products sold in the shop. Wherever possible the produce and ingredients used are sourced from local suppliers and producers.
The inner courtyard, calf shed and outdoor paddocks are home to the farms animals, with donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, rabbits, chicks and calves, a great way to meet traditional farm animals in a safe environment. It is important to be responsible when visiting open farms, so visitors are encouraged to use the hand wash facilities and information provided to keep safe. There is also plenty of information on the Old Holly website, or please contact Old Holly Farm directly for any specific queries.
