Waddow Hall

Waddow Hall is a 17th Century manor house set in 180 acres of beautiful parkland, overlooking the River Ribble.  Girlguiding have owned this property for almost 100 years and the main building and grounds are steeped in history.  The activity centre is not just for Girlguiding members, schools, youth organisations, families, adult groups and businesses all enjoy the facilities throughout the year.

The main house sleeps up to 60 people with 29 ensuite bedrooms, ranging from singles, doubles and family rooms.  There are also self-contained cosy cottages and lodges for larger groups.  All self-catering properties have well equipped kitchens to prepare large meals to enjoy together in large dining rooms.  If you are feeling adventurous there are nine campsites set in beautiful rolling countryside and include a bell tent village with ready-pitched tents.  The friendly team are on hand to ensure that you feel at home and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Take advantage of the wide range of activities on offer, such as kayaking, climbing, bushcraft, zip wire and many more.  There’s something for all ages and abilities.

The popular Skoolz Out holiday club offers a full activity programme, overseen by trained instructors, will keep children aged 8- 16 years fit, active and entertained.  Running every day in the school holidays, your child can attend the entire week or just selected days of your choosing.

For anyone interested in exploring off site, Waddow Hall is within easy reach of some beautiful trails such as the Hodder Valley, Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to the Yorkshire Dales and venues such as Gisburn Forest, Malham Cove, Pendle Hill, Stocks Reservoir and the Tolkien Trail.  There are also so many picturesque villages to discover nearby such as Downham, Bolton by Bowland, Chipping, Dunsop Bridge, Hurst Green, Sabden, Sawley and Waddington.  For a little bit of heritage, there is Sawley Abbey, Stonyhurst College, Clitheroe Castle, Whalley Abbey, Ribchester Roman Museum and Browsholme Hall.  As you can see there is just so much to see and enjoy from the doorstep of Waddow Hall.

Waddow Hall is becoming a popular choice for weddings and can cater for a wide variety of private functions.  The Main Hall has two reception rooms, a dining room, a large function room and a large white marquee on the lawn, all of which can be dressed to your wedding theme.
