Lowfield was built in 1901 as a Gentleman’s residence in the area of Bay Horse and now provides Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the house and self-catering in the barn on the same site. It is situated in the north Lancashire countryside, surrounded by 3 acres of mature gardens and orchard yet only 3 minutes by car from Junction 33 of the M6.
The self-catering barn provides a complete separate unit to accommodate up to 6 people comprising of 3 double bedrooms (one on ground floor), 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room and lounge/garden room. There are open rural views from the lounge and a large garden area. There is a private patio for guests use with a table and chairs. In the winter months, there is a wood burner in the kitchen/diner.
There is secure parking for cars and locked storage for cycles. There is a country inn (Bay Horse Inn) just 300m from the house and several other inns within 2 miles. Lancaster University is under 3 miles and the A6 (300m.) provides access to the towns of Lancaster and Morecambe to the north and Garstang and Blackpool to the south. The Lake District is within 45 minutes by car.

BUS:
From the north (Lancaster) Take the bus number 40,41 or 42 from Lancaster and exit at Bay Horse Crossroads (ask the driver to let you know). Walk towards Bay Horse Inn and Lowfield is situated on right on Bay horse Lane.
From the South (Preston) Take the bus number 40,41 or 42 from Preston and exit at Bay Horse Crossroads (ask the driver to let you know). Walk towards Bay Horse Inn and Lowfield is situated on right hand side on Bay horse Lane.
Alternatively, there are taxis available from Lancaster day and night.
TRAINS: Lancaster is on the main west coast train line and has direct trains from London, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
AIR Manchester Airport has a train station with frequent services to Lancaster, then use bus directions(above)
Directions from the M6
Exit at junction 33 and head south on the A6 towards Garstang. Take the 2nd left after the roundabout signed to Dolphinholme and Trough of Bowland. Follow the winding country lane for approximately ¾ of a mile and the Bay Horse Inn is on the right. Continue around a right-angle bend and after approximately 300ms Lowfield is on the left.
