Castle View

Unique contemporary cottage, just a moments walk from Lancaster Castle and the train station. Situated in a peaceful walled oasis in the heart of historic Lancaster, this hidden gem has a secret double bedroom, a big comfy sofa bed, a huge copper bath and a wood burner. Whether you want a romantic retreat or a comfortable base to explore the north west; the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Manchester Airport are all about an hour away. Trains from the doorstep and parking available.

The space

Quaint on the outside and quirky on the inside. Castle View is nestled almost at the foot of Lancaster Castle and inside is the secret bedroom and bathroom, which are a real surprise and simply luxurious! Everything is kitted out with your complete comfort in mind. A king size natural mattress, Egyptian cotton bed linen, Smeg fridge/freezer and a giant 'loaf' sofa to sink into in front of the wood burner.

Guest access

The property is a detached property and has its own parking space.

Interaction with guests

The owners live on site in a separate property and are available to help any which way they can.

Other things to note

Children aged 8 years and upwards are welcome.

This year they are giving 10% of their turnover to LDHAS (Lancaster & District Homeless Action Service). So your stay at Castle View will help to support the less fortunate in the community.
